Thrissur: Enforcement Directorate conducts a raid in the house of accused in connection with Karuvannur bank scam. The officials from Kochi are conducting raid in the house of five accused.
The raid comes while the High Court is hearing a petition filed by investors seeking intervention in the return of deposits from the Karuvannur Co-operative Bank. Justice T.R. Ravi is considering the petition. The court had earlier stopped the return of the deposit from the bank. The court issued an interim order and said that there may be fraud while returning the money. But it was suggested that money should be given to those in need and the matter should be reported to the court. The court also stated that the government should inform how the money can be returned.
