Thiruvananthapuram: SDPI has insulted the tri colour on the 76th Independence Day today. The contemptible action took place at Vazhimukku in Balaramapuram in the state capital.
SDPI tied its flag above the national flag and while the police asked to remove the SDPI flag, their answer was that they will only take off the national flag if required.
In recent days, CPM leaders too had insulted the national flag. Panchayat President of Malambuzha, scolded the BJP workers and tried to distroy mobile phone, while the latter went to give the national flag ahead of Independence Day. In many parts of the state , the CPM workers violated the flag of code while unhurling.
