Palakkad: Two absconded culprits Naveen and Siddharth were captured in connection with the murder of the CPM local committee member Shajahan. They are being questioned by the police. One of them has direct involvement in the case and the other is the accomplice.
Meanwhile, a special team was formed under Palakkad DYSP to conduct investigation on the murder. The report says that the team was formed considering the intensity and seriousness of the incident. The DYSP and members of the Cyber Department are involved in the special investigation team.
The witness said that Shajahan was attacked by 2 people called Sabari and Aneesh. Two of them were CPM party members. The witness said that the culprits also tried to attack while he was trying to save Shajahan. But CPM said it as a political murder.
The murder took place on 14 August night, in the midst of the preparations to celebrate the Independence Day.
