New Delhi: The Confederation of All India Traders(CAIT) has informed that a sum of worth 500 crore rupees was generated through selling of national flags. This achievement is through the Prime Minister’s Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, a part of the Central Government’s Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The PM had launched the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign to encourage people to hoist the national flag at homes from 13 to 15 August. The campaign turned out to be a great enhancement to the nation as the business of Rs.500 crore was generated.
CIAT Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal informed that around 3000 programmes were organised with the cooperation of social workers and entrepreneurs, for Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
Soon after the Prime Minister’s clarion call to hoist flags in each and every house of Bharat, the demand for the tricolour soared up. It is to be noted that though the demand was high, the workers as well as the entrepreneurs could meet it in time. And within 20 days, more than 30 crore flags were made and distributed.
The Central Government has amended the Flag Code 2002, by allowing to use polyester clothes and machines to make national flags, helped the makers to produce abundant quantity of flags.
The herculean task of around ten lakh people made the nation fly high in tricolour.
