New Delhi: CBI has filed an FIR against Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Maneesh Sisodia and 14 others in connection with the corruption on Excise Policy. CBI today conducted raids in the house of Sisodia and in other 19 places across 7 states.
FIR lodged by the Central Bureau of Investigation alleges irregularities in framing and implementation of the excise policy launched in November. Last month, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena had recommended a CBI probe on the renewed excise policy. CBI has started enquiry after Saxena’s recommendation.
CBI held inspection on the houses and offices of Delhi Deputy CM Maneesh Sisodia, Arava Gopi Krishna, who was the Delhi Excise Commissioner during the launch of the new policy and also, the houses and offices of seven others.
Meanwhile, it is hinted that the Enforcement Directorate will begin investigation on the money laundering soon.
