NewDelhi:  The maker of Dolo tablets, Micro labs has denied allegations that they paid Rs 1,000 crore to doctors for promotion of the pill. Jayaraj Govindaraju, Micro Labs Limited Marketing and Communication Executive Vice President , said that the allegations made in the petition filed by the Federation of Medical and Sales Representative Association in the Supreme Court are completely baseless.

During the Corona period, the company was able to earn only Rs 350 crore. Therefore, it is impossible to spend 1000 crores on doctors. Doctors have not only prescribed Dolo during Corona. He pointed out that vitamin C and other vitamin pills were also widely prescribed.

The petition said that Dolo has invested more than 1000 crores for doctors, so doctors will  promote this medicine. According to the petition, such practices lead to overuse of medicines and worsen the health of patients. Justice D Y Chandrachud, said that, when he was suffering from Coronavirus doctors advised him to take this medicine and this is a very serious matter. The court has directed the Center to respond within ten days. After receiving this, the petition will be considered again.
