Idukki: Court ordered 62 years long imprisonment for the 24 year old culprit who raped a 15 year old girl over a marriage promise. Apart from this, he also needs to pay a fine of 1.5 lakh rupees. The order was issued by Idukki POCSO Court.
The culprit Alvin is a native of Devikulam, Idukki. The incident took place in 2020. The girl had been raped after giving an assurance to get married. When the girl was found pregnant, her family members had registered a complaint against the culprit, Alwin. The prosecution had also submitted scientific proofs regarding the incident and found the accused as guilty.
The court ordered 40 years imprisonment for raping a minor girl child and making her pregnant. The rest of the 20 years imprisonment is for molesting the girl sexually.
