Thiruvananthapuram: Speaker M B Rajesh will be the new minister to replace M V Govindan, as the latter has just resigned to head CPM as the State Secretary. M B Rajesh is the MLA from Thrithaala. Thalasseri MLA A N Shamseer will be the Speaker.
The crucial decision was taken by the State Secretariat meeting. Meanwhile , the post of Saji Chriyan, the minister who was forced to resign after row over his anti-constitutional remarks, will remain vacant.
It is hinted that the ministry will be re constituted soon and possibility for changes may be in the health and educational departments. V Sivankutty, the minister for education may be posted as CPM Thiruvananthapuram State Secretary and the education department likely to be handed over to M B Rajesh.
