New Delhi: The Central Government has changed the name of Rajpath as Karthavya Path. Rajpath, the way from the Netaji statue till the Rashtrapathi Bahvan, will now be known as Karthavya Path.
This crucial decision comes just before the opening of the revamped Rajpath and the Central Vista lawns in the heart of Delhi. A special meeting was held for the discussion to rename the historic Rajpath, the King’s Way, as Karthavya Path.
Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate the revamped Central Vista Avenue on Thursday.
The Central Government has recently removed King’s Cross from the Indian Navy emblem and replaced with depiction of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Rajmudra.
