Islamabad: Baba Madhodas Mandir, the Hindu temple at Jalal Khan village in Balochistan, has become a shelter for flood affected people in Pakistan. Irrespective of religion, the authorities have given shelter to many people including Muslims.
Currently, the Jalal Khan village has been drowned completely. The water in Nari, Bolan and Lehri rivers are passing through the village and the overflow of water in these rivers had caused difficulties to the life of the village people. The authorities provided shelter for about 300 people.
Unlike other areas, the temple is located in a higher region and it would not get affected by the flood. Several Hindu families have accommodated many people from the flood affected region in their houses.
Meanwhile, 1400 people have died so far in the flood in Pakistan.
