Chandigarh: Bomb threat in Gurugram confirmed as a fake news. The information was passed by a youth who was suffering from mental illness, said the police. The police conducted the raid for hours following the information.
On Tuesday morning, the police received a message that there was a bomb in The Leela Hotel. Later, the Gurugram City Police reached the spot and conducted an investigation for one and a half hours. The police will register an FIR against the youth and will take further action.
The message was received at The Leela Hotel in Ambience Mall Complex around 11.35 am. The employees immediately informed the police. East DCP Virendra Vij said that nothing suspicious was found in the hotel premises during the inspection. A location-based search led officials to locate a hospital in Sector 47 and thus found the accused.
