Thiruvananthapuram: All security measures have been implemented in the city prior to the strike that has been organized by SDPI tomorrow. Anil Kant, the Director General of Police has given instructions to all higher police officials.
The people who were involved in unnecessary attacks and forceful shutdown of shops will get noticed and if necessary, they were also given instructions to preventive detention.
The entire police forces will be deployed to maintain law and order. Range DIGs, Zonal IGs and ADGPs of law and order department are responsible for supervising the security arrangements under the control of District Police Chiefs.
Vijay Sakhre, the ADGP, heading the law and order wing said that strict actions would be taken against people who spread fake news about the strike. Cyber patrolling is also arranged in social media to monitor such activities.
Strict legal action will be taken against those who interrupt the movement of people on the day of strike. District police chiefs have been directed to provide adequate security to the government offices, institutions and public transport systems including KSRTC.
