Wayanad: The police arrested two who arrived with MDMA and cannabis in Wayanad. Kozhikode Puthuppadi native P.K. Muhammad Fasid, a resident of Tamarassery and P.K. Anoop was arrested. The two were caught during a joint vehicle inspection conducted by the District Anti-Narcotics Squad and Kalpetta Police at Kalpetta Junction.
12 grams of MDMA and 23 grams of cannabis were recovered from the accused. The police informed that the accused are being interrogated and an investigation has been started to trace the source of the drugs.
Kalangadan Subair, a native of Kottakkal was arrested with MDMA worth crores from Malappuram district as well. He was caught by the police with MDMA brought from Bangalore and Virajpet. Secret information was received that drugs were brought from interstate and sold in Kerala. The accused were caught in the subsequent search.
