Gold hunt in Karipur; Police seized 1 kg of gold; one arrested

Kozhikode: Police have seized one kilogram of gold in Karipur. Mohammed Basheer, a native of Pattarkadav, Malappuram, was arrested for smuggling 4 gold capsules hidden inside his body. Basheer arrived in Karipur from Jeddah on a SpiceJet flight.

After completing the customs check, he got out of the airport and was later arrested by the police. This is the 60th consecutive case in Karipur.
