New Delhi: Center says huge increase in GST revenue. GST revenue for September rose 26 percent to Rs 1.47 lakh crore, the finance ministry said.
Goods and Services Tax has crossed Rs 1.40 lakh mark for the seventh consecutive month. The GST gross revenue for the month of September was Rs 1,47,686 crore. 25,271 crores in central GST revenue and 31,813 crores in state GST revenue. 80,464 crore in the integrated GST category and 10,137 crore in cess category.
Apart from the month of September, it is estimated that the surge in GST revenue will continue in the coming months. The average GST revenue for 2022-23 will be Rs 1.55 lakh crore. GST revenue was Rs 1.17 lakh crore during the same period last year.
