Ernakulam: CBI has intensified the investigation in Life Mission contract irregularities. Swapna Suresh will be questioned again on Tuesday in the case. A notice was given to appear today, but Swapna’s interrogation was postponed to tomorrow due to inconvenience. It has been called again to clarify the evidence against M Sivashankar.
The CBI investigation in the Life Mission case has also been intensified after the customs filed a charge sheet in the dollar smuggling case related to the gold smuggling case. Swapna Suresh has been asked to appear at the CBI Kochi office at 10 am on Tuesday.
Unitac MD Santhosh Eepan also stated that he had to pay commission for getting the construction contract. Santhosh Eepan had given a statement to the investigating agencies that he was allowed to meet M Sivashankar, the former Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister after paying the bribe money and it was Sivashankar who introduced him to Life CEO – U V Jose. Swapna is being interrogated to clarify her statements against Shiv Shankar. The CBI also interrogated Sandeep, another accused in the gold smuggling case.
