Srinagar: The terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba is behind the murder of the jail DGP Hemant Kumar Lohia. The People’s Anti-Fascist Force, the Indian wing of the organization, claimed the responsibility of the murder.
The terrorists said that this is just a beginning and a warning to Hindus. They also said that this is a small gift to the Home Minister Amit Shah, who is visiting Kashmir. They added saying that such operations will be successfully completed in the future if God permits.
Lohiya is a 1992 batch IPS officer. He was appointed as the DGP of Jammu Kashmir Jail in August.
His dead body was found from the house situated in Udaywala. The primary finding is that it is a murder. Mukesh Singh, the Additional Director General of Police said that they will seek help from the locals and the culprit will be captured soon.
Hemanth Kumar and his family have been living in his friend’s house since their house is under construction.
