New York: India also stood against Russia’s demand in the UNO. Countries including India, oppose Russia’s demand of making the voting, against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and its annexation of four Ukraine regions, to a secret ballot.
The regions of Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk and Saparoshia were made self-governing regions under Russian influence.
The voting will be held by the end of this week. If it is against Russia, the UN will take decisions on matters including the restrictions on Russia.
The representatives of the UN had raised strong criticisms over Russia for its attack that had begun two weeks before.
Russia said that the regions under annexation were under their influence for ages. Including India, Hundreds of countries have opined that Russia’s action is a violation of International law. 13 countries supported Russia while 39 abstained. And now the nations have a chance to mark their opinion by voting.
