Kochi: Kerala Blasters were beaten fair and square in front of their home fans by ATK Mohun Bagan in the 2022-23 Indian Super League season. Bagan defeated Kerala’s own yellow army 5-2 in the game. The Yellow Army continued to attack and put Bagan under pressure. Ukraine player Ivan Kalyuzhnyi put Blasters ahead with a beautiful goal in the 6th minute.
Bagan hit back in the 9th minute of the game. But before that the offside flag was raised. The Kolkata team slowly regained its rhythm in the game and equalized in the 26th minute.
The next goal was scored soon after. Bagan took the lead in the 38th minute. Johnny Nico scored the goal. Bagan took the lead again in the 62nd minute. Dimitri flicked the ball from Listen Colosso back into the Blasters net. But in the 81st minute, a mistake by the Bagan goalkeeper gave Blasters a goal back.
Leni Rodriguez scored the fourth goal. Dimitri Petros hit the net again in the next minute. Dimitri completed the hat-trick with this. With this defeat, Blasters dropped to the seventh position in the points table.
