Thiruvananthapuram: IMD has forecast heavy rain is likely in the State. Yellow alert has been issued for eight district. As per the report from India Meteorological Department, the rain will continue for two more days.
Yellow alert for today is issued for Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikkode and Wayanad districts. The weather department has advised the people living in these districts to keep vigil. It is predicted that the State may receive 64.5 to 115.5 mm rain within 24 hours.
And for tomorrow, yellow alert has been issued for Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Kozhikkode and Wayanad. As it is likely to reduce rain from day after tomorrow, yellow alert is issued only for four districts, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki and Ernakulam.
