Kannur: Accused Shyamjith said that he killed a 23-year-old woman in Panur after hitting her with a hammer. Shyamjith’s confession also states that he bought the hammer from a shop in Koothuparamb. Meanwhile, the police registered the arrest of the accused.
Shyamjith told the police that he was in love with Vishnupriya, for the past five years. But six months ago, Vishnupriya had withdrawn from the relationship. After this, the girl fell in love with another person. This led to the murder of Vishnupriya. Shyamjith has also told the police that he killed her because of his grudge.
Shyamjith’s arrest was recorded late in the evening after interrogation. After the medical examination, he will be produced in court. He was arrested by the police during the phone based investigation.
