Kozhikode: A Young man was kidnapped and beaten up by a group of 5 people over the allegation of raping a 15 year old girl. Police arrested Nikhil, Muhammad Anas, Nainaf, Muhammad Shamil and Shamseer in connection with the incident. After charging POCSO, the youth was also taken under arrest.
The incident took place last night. A team of five people abducted the youth from his house at Kuttikkattoor. He was forcefully pulled out of his house and taken inside a vehicle. The neighbours noticed this and followed the gang for about 20 kms. They found him from the top of a hill that is 20 kms away. Later, the police arrested 5 people who were the relatives of the girl.
The young man, Irshadul Harris, got severely injured in the attack and admitted to the Medical College Hospital. The girl filed POCSO case against the youth and said that she was raped after being invited to the house. She said that both of them met through Instagram. Police also seized the vehicle used by her relatives for abduction.
