Male: In a massive fire, at least nine Indians were killed among 10 people. The tragic incident took place at Male, the capital of Maldives, in a building where the labourers from other states resided. The narrow space actually made the rescue operations even more difficult. It took four hours to put out the fire.
Nine Indians and a Bangladesh native were killed in the incident. The details about the deceased are yet to come out. The Indian High Commission said that they have condoled the death of the people and are also continuously trying to update the details from the authority.
Ibrahim Mohammed Solih, the President of Maldives, said that the incident is really shocking and very painful and a strong investigation is being held in the background of this.
Figures say that half of the population of Male is filled with the laborers from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
