Thiruvananthapuram: The CPM will hold an emergency district committee meeting today in the wake of the controversy on the letter. The decision for meeting comes after the letter has embarrassed both the party and the government. It is estimated that in addition to the police investigation, the party will also conduct an inquiry.
The District party secretary Anavoor Nagappan and the leadership informed that they are unaware of the letter, even amid the controversy. The state leadership believes that the current controversy is due to the split in District level.
Meanwhile, HC sent notice to Thiruvananthapuram Mayor Arya Rajendran based on the petition seeking CBI investigation into the matter. The court said that a decision will be taken after hearing the mayor’s side. Notice has also been sent to the government in the matter.
