Ernakulam: The hearing in the High Court on the petition against the appointment of Priya Varghese as Associate Professor of Kannur University will continue today. The hearing will be held today on the petition demanding that Priya Varghese be removed from the rank list. The court heard the petition yesterday and raised severe criticism.
The court expressed dissatisfaction with the affidavit submitted by Kannur University. Priya Varghese also filed an affidavit in the court yesterday. The court also observed that there was insufficient information in both the affidavits. The court also criticized the registrar of Kannur University for not checking the eligibility of Priya Varghese.
Priya Varghese has the first rank in the rank list prepared by Kannur University for the appointment of Associate Professor. But the UGC informed the High Court that there was no sufficient qualification. But both the affidavits made it clear that the qualification is contrary to this. With this, the court raised severe criticism.
