Thiruvananthapuram: The police have registered a case against those who attacked KSRTC buses in Vizhinjam. The case is against 50 people for the destruction of public property and obstruction of public transport.
Yesterday, a case was registered against 3000 people who participated in the conflict. Meanwhile, the all-party meeting called by the collector to avoid conflict ended without a decision. The protesters stated that they will not back down from the strike and demands to stop the construction work. Minister G R Anil said in the meeting that police station attacks are unheard of and such trend will not be allowed.
Apart from this, the High Court directed the government to take strict action against those who made conflict in Vizhinjam. The court was referring to the petition filed by the Adani Group seeking police protection for the Vizhinjam project. The court also said that there is no need to wait for the permission of the court to take action in case of such incidents of violence.
