Kochi: Huge gold hunt in Cochin International Airport. Customs seized gold which tried to smuggle in the form of buttons in Cochin Airport. The gold was hidden inside a trolley bag. Customs arrested Kasaragod native, Muhammad who arrived from Dubai.
After landing, he hid the gold he was carrying on the handle of the trolley bag. A bandage was placed over it. Later, after covering with tissue paper, he tried to get out from the airport. Even when he reached the customs hall, he was not ready to move his hand from the trolley. The gold was seized during the inspection conducted by the customs officials who were suspicious of this. The officials said that the investigation into the incident is in progress.
