Thiruvananthapuram: State again witnessed murder in the name of rejecting love. Sindhu, native of Nanniyode, was stabbed to death by her male friend Rajesh in Peroorkada.
The incident occurred on the roadside this morning. Sindhu was walking across the road and Rajesh, who came there with a knife, slit her neck. The lady who got seriously injured was rushed to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. The lady succumbed to death while undergoing treatment.
It is said that both Sindhu and Rajesh were in close acquaintance since many years. But recently Sindhu started avoiding Rajesh and this provoked him. Rajesh is a native of Nanniyode. He was running a juice shop near Kilimanoor.
Police conducted an investigation on this. Sindhu’s dead body is kept at the Medical College mortuary and will be handed over to the relatives after completing the post mortem procedures.
