New Delhi: The NIA strongly opposed the interim bail application of E Abubakar, the leader of the banned religious terrorist organization Popular Front. Abubakar approached the court demanding interim bail in the case of anti-national activities citing serious health problems.
Abubakar’s bail plea is before the division bench headed by Justice Siddharth Mridul and Talwand Singh. Special Public Prosecutor Akshay Malik informed the court about the health condition of Abu Bakar on behalf of the NIA. The health condition of Abubakar in custody is under control. In this regard, the report given by the doctors of AIIMS has been submitted to the court.
The court will scrutinize the report and other documents submitted by the NIA in detail. After that, the court will consider Abubakar’s bail application again on the 16th of this month.
