Ranjith compares howling protesters to dogs at IFFK closing ceremony

Thiruvananthapuram: Director Ranjith compared those who howled at the IFFK closing stage to dogs. Ranjith said that mass protests are like barking dogs and there is no big deal in it.

There is nothing big in the protest of the crowd. It’s not a big deal. I have a house in Wayanad. The housekeeper feeds the local dogs. They bark when they see me. They do so without understanding the reality that I am the owner of the house. I laugh at that. Ranjith said that this protest is also like that.

He said that the dog is not intentionally barking at him. Ranjith also said that as an occasional visitor, the dog will have a lack of experience, so he will not try to make him understand.

Protesters shouted at Ranjith when he arrived to deliver a speech at the closing stage of IFFK. The problem of not getting tickets for the Mammootty starrer “Nanpakal Nerath Mayakkum” finally led to a mass protest. However, Ranjith’s reply was that such howling is not a new experience for him as he is a person who grew up through SFI.
