Kasaragod: The BJP Panchayath committee has built a house in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Baby Taryan and his family, who lived for more than three decades without their own house. The house was built by the BJP Pallikkathod Panchayath Committee as part of the Vande Narendram project. Former Mizoram Governor and senior BJP leader Kummanam Rajasekharan will hand over the keys to them today.
The poor family lived for daily wages. They were unable to go to work after contracting fatal diseases. They were allotted a house in Mannarkkad panchayat ten years ago. But there were some practical obstacles for migration and they ended up in the same shelter they lived in. The BJP Panchayat Committee informed that it was decided to build a house for them after seeing the pathetic condition of the family. The BJP also stated that the service activities as part of the Vande Narendram project will continue.
