Alappuzha: CPM local leader has made contemptuous comments on Lord Ayyappa. K. Mukundan, the branch secretary of Mundakappadam, has made a facebook post insulting Lord Ayyappa. When the issues got accelerated, the culprit withdrawn the post from his Facebook page and apologized.
K. Mukundan, a native of Mundakapadam, Thakazhi, had published the post mocking Lord Ayyappa. He commented on his Facebook post that Ayyappan was born from a male-male union which was unnatural and the Ayyappa Pooja is a fake ritual.
After a huge protest against his FB post, Mukundan had attempted to escape by deleting the post. He also made a new post expressing apologies on the issue. When the issue became controversial, Prasanth, a social worker, filed a case on this issue.
