Ernakulam: A KSRTC Swift bus carrying passengers crashed into the retaining wall of the railway flyover. The incident took place in Kalamassery this morning. The driver was injured in the accident.
The bus which was going from Bengaluru to Thiruvananthapuram met with the accident when it reached near the flyover before TVS Junction. The bus went out of control and crashed into the guard wall.
The impact of the incident shook the concrete layers and fell on the rail. At the time of the incident, a goods train was passing by but stopped after getting hints about the danger. The concrete layers were removed and replaced with the help of local people. Following the accident, the traffic was disrupted for several hours. No passengers were injured in the accident. The bus was collapsed completely and another bus has returned to Bengaluru with the passengers.
