Jeddah: Authorities have confirmed 231 Indians have departed from Jeddah to Mumbai after being rescued from the Sudan crisis. It is the 12th flight that has departed from Jeddah.
From the total of 231 who have been rescued, 208 are from Gujarat. External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar confirmed that about 3000 Indians were rescued from Sudan crisis. He also expressed his gratitude to Saudi Arabia in assisting them.
Operation Kaveri has entered into its 9th day. The Central Government operation started out with the use of Indian Air Force planes and Indian Navy planes. Considering the Sudan crisis, The Indian Embassy has shifted from Khartoum to Port Sudan.
