THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The district Crime Branch has taken over the investigation of Dr Vandana Das. Kollam Rural DYSP MM Jose is in charge of the investigation. Meanwhile, no information about the drug use of the accused was obtained from the preliminary inspection of his mobile phone. The probe team was unable to find whom did the accused send the video taken by him just before the attack.
It is reported that Sandeep had deleted the message sent to his friend on WhatsApp. But the police have not yet identified the friend of the accused. Also, Sandeep had sent a video to the HM of the school at around 2 am before calling the police. In the video, he alleged that some people are trying to kill him. The police were able to find this video.
The accused continued to be in violent state even after killing the lady doctor. Sandeep who was admitted to high security block in Poojapura continued to make ruckus. The jail authorities informed that the accused made noise while he was in the cell. He is inside a cell which is being monitored 24 hours using CCTV. Wardens have also been assigned to monitor the accused.
