Bengaluru: Following the setback suffered by BJP in the Karnataka assembly election, veteran party leader, BS Yediyurappa, said that victory and defeat aren’t new to BJP and promised that introspection will be done regarding the setback.
Yediyurappa said, “Victory and defeat aren’t new to BJP. Party workers need not be panicked by these results. We will introspect of the party’s setback. I respectfully accept this verdict.”
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai had earlier conceded defeat and promised that BJP will be victorious in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He also added that a detailed analysis will be done.
Basavaraj Bommai said, “We have not been able to make the mark. Once the results come we will do a detailed analysis. As a national party, we will not only analyse but also see what deficiencies and gaps were left at various levels. We take this result in our stride.”
