Balaramapuram: The police have taken statements of employees and students in the suicide case of seventeen-year-old Asmiya mol at the Al Aman Islamic study center at Balaramapuram in Thiruvananthapuram. The police took statements from five employees and ten female students of Kadeejathul Kudra Women’s Arabic College and the Al Aman Madrasa, which are situated on the same premises.

Some students told the police that when Asmiya mol went home for Eid Ul-Fitr, she had said that she would never return to that place. The police are investigating in to that statements also.

Asmiya mol (17) was the plus one student of Khadeejathul Kudra Women’s Arabic College. She was found hanging on Saturday at the religious study center. It is reported that the religious study center and the college is run by private individuals. Asmiya was studying and lodging there for the last one year.

According to her family, Asmiya mol used to call her family every Friday. However, when she did not call her family this Friday, her mother called up the institution. Asmiya called back and asked her mother to come and pick her up. When her mother rushed to the institution in one and a half hour later, she found her dead.

Asmiya was found hanging at a place near the kitchen of the religious study center. Her family is sure that Asmiya would never take her life on her own. The police began investigation only after her family gave a complaint raising suspicion in to her death.

However, the accused institution where the suicide took place is said to have no connection with any Mosques, Madrasas, or Muslim Jamaaths. Various Jamaath authorities have said that the institution is run by a private individual.

Meanwhile, BJP District President, VV Rajesh, accused that many Madrasas in the capital city is hub of anti-national activities and abuse. He demanded that the government constitute a special investigation team and probe in to death of Asmiya mol. He also warned that BJP would intensify its protests.

VV Rajesh said that mysteries related to Al Aman Madrasa are continuing and added that BJP will conduct a protest march to the police station day after tomorrow.
