New Delhi: The accused in AugustaWestland scam, Rajeev Saxsena approached a Delhi Patiala House Court informing his willingness to turn approver in the Rs. 3,600 crore case.
Rajeev Saxsena, Director of Matrix Holdings based in Dubai, is accused of being the middleman and accompli in the AugustaWestland case. Saxsena was extradited from Dubai a few weeks back.
The Enforcement Directorate has accused Rajeev Saxsena for money laundering in the purchase of VVIP AugustaWestland Choppers. The scam came to light when it was revealed that company officials bribed Indian politicians to the tune of Rs. 423 crore to swing the deal in its favour.
This led to investigations in both India and Italy and raised accusations against the top leadership of the Congress.
In December last year another accompli Christian James Michael was extradited from Dubai.
