Malappuram: Four persons including three madrasa teachers were arrested under POCSO Act for sexual abuse against minor girls. All the accused sexually attacked minor girls who came for madrasa education. The arrested are madrasa teacher Kunjumuhammad,(64), Hydros (50), Muhammadunni (67), and Bava (54).
The sexual abuse came to light during a counseling session at the school. The minor girls revealed their ordeal during the counseling. The arrest follows the complaint given by the Child Line on the basis of the statement of three children. All the children are in fifth standard. The three madrasa teachers abused the children at the madrasa itself, while Bava sexually attacked them at his home.
The accused were produced at the Ponnani Court and remanded.
