Kannur: Prashant Babu, who had given complaint against KPCC President, K Sudhakaran, said that the Congress leader had conducted many corruptions while he was Minister of Forest and Wildlife in the AK Antony government, said a report. Prashant Babu also revealed that Sudhakaran’s main weakness is money.
According to the report, Prashant Babu has accused the KPCC President of indulging in corruption after he became the Minister of Forest in the AK Antony government and that he had informed the then CM Antony about Sudhakaran’s corruption. Even though, Antony had promised action against Sudhakaran, no follow ups were made.
The report quoted Prashant Babu saying that Sudhakaran tried to indulge in big corruption while Prashant Babu was the member of the Municipality. He said that there was big corruption behind the taking over of Rajas School. He also accused the Congress leader of taking money from many people.
Prashant Babu had submitted a complaint to the Vigilance concerning the corruption of K Sudhakaran. He told that he would give exact details to the Vigilance tomorrow.
According to the report the Kozhikode unit of the Vigilance department has started a primary investigation against K Sudhakaran on the basis of Prashant’s complaint.
As part of the probe the Vigilance has inquired the salary details of K Sudharan’s wife, Smitha Sudhakaran who worked as a school teacher at Kadachira High School in Kannur. The investigation team has sought details of her salary and other benefits since 2001.
However, K Sudhakaran has dismissed the accusations and challenged the investigation team to find out any black money from him.
