Lucknow: Om Prakash Rajbhar, the chief of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) and an MLA from Uttar Pradesh, has expressed his support for the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in India. Om Prakash stated that his party, SBSP, which is an ally of the Samajwadi Party, stands in favor of the Uniform Civil Code. He emphasized the importance of having a uniform law that applies to all citizens of the country.

Om Prakash further highlighted that his party is committed to supporting any issue that prioritizes national interest. He clarified that the UCC does not oppose any religious beliefs and that those who propagate anti-national ideologies are misleading the public. He emphasized that the UCC is a law outlined in the directives of the Constitution.

Referring to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Om Prakash noted that the implementation of the Civil Code was endorsed by the government.

Om Prakash also mentioned that courts have repeatedly emphasized the necessity of implementing the Civil Code in various cases. The Uniform Civil Code encompasses laws relating to marriage, divorce, property rights, and adoption, applicable to all citizens of India.
