THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thiruvananthapuram, Chirayinkeezhu Police arrested Shanthi and Narayananan, who involved in the kidnapping of a four-month-old baby from Nagercovil, Tamil Nadu. The police suspect that the child was intended for begging purposes.
According to the police, the incident occurred yesterday when the four-month-old baby was abducted from Nagercovil bus stand in Tamil Nadu. The suspects then traveled to Thiruvananthapuram via the Ernad Express train. Once the Nagercovil police were alerted, they registered the case and promptly informed their counterparts in Thiruvananthapuram. To aid in the investigation, the Nagercovil police provided CCTV video footage.
Subsequently, the Thiruvananthapuram Police initiated an inquiry and successfully apprehended the suspects. The arrested individuals were handed over to the custody of the Nagercovil police for further legal proceedings.
In the aftermath of the incident, both police departments took measures to raise awareness and cautioned the public to remain vigilant against such occurrences.
