Aluva: The 5-yr-old girl who was killed in Aluva was the daughter of a Bihar couple. She used to behave friendly with everyone and spoke Malayalam well, said one of her teachers. Her mortal remains was brought to Thaiykatukara school, where she studied. Teachers and students wept bitterly as her body was kept for final respects.

Her teacher said that the girl was a very active student and used to behave friendly with the students and teachers. She used to speak Malayalam fluently and was eager to ask about everything.

MLA Anvar Sadat said that the accused Asfaq was an addict to intoxicants and had a criminal character. This is a shame to the state of Kerala. We must be able to identify criminals such as these. There must be a system to make sure that the identity cards of migrant workers entering the state to be submitted at the police station.

The child’s funeral took place today at 10.30 am at a public crematorium in Keezhmad panchayat. The public display of her mortal remains that was kept at her school compound continued for hours.

BJP State President, K Surendran, paid the final respects to the mortal remains of the child.

Leaders from various political parties were also present there.

The girl, who was kidnapped by migrant worker, Afsaq, was sexually assaulted by him. He then dumped her body near the Aluva market at the bank of Periyar River. She was also physically assaulted and hit hard on her face.
