Husband dies attempting to set wife on fire with petrol in Palakkad

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A tragic incident occurred at the Manjapra Nattukal bus stop in Palakkad, where Promod (36), a resident of Pallassana in Palakkad district, lost his life while attempting to kill his wife Karthika (30) by dousing her with petrol.

Promod died while undergoing treatment at Thrissur Medical College Hospital. Meanwhile, Karthika sustained injuries in the incident.

The dreadful event took place last Thursday morning, leaving the community shocked and saddened.
