CPI Pathanamthitta district secretary shares his picture with Lord Ganesha idols; cyber comrades asks to delete the post

Thiruvananthapuram:  “Ganapati is not a myth! A picture with the Ganesha idol before starting a journey.”

Amid the myth controversy, the social media post of CPI district secretary ignited controversy in the Left Front. A Facebook post made by A.P. Jayan, the CPI District Secretary of Pathanamthitta, generated extensive discussions among CPI members. District Secretary AP Jayan’s post was discussed at a time when widespread criticism was being raised against the CPM for Speaker AN Shamseer’s insult on Lord Ganesha and Hindu beliefs.

The district secretary’s post is captioned as ‘The beginning of a journey’. Shamseer’s remarks also caused discontent among self-proclaimed non-believers in the Left Front. When the entire Hindu community turned against the Left in the myth controversy, AP Jayan sharing a picture with idols Lord Ganesha, emerged as a fresh subject of conversation within the Front.

Amid the myth debate, the CPI has unequivocally expressed its support for the Speaker. Interestingly, at this time, AP Jayan has shared an image of himself alongside Ganesha. At the same time, cyber comrades came out with severe criticism under the post. ‘You are a comrade…delete post. Don’t walk behind myths. If not, leave the party and join the other party.
