THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It is reported that the Nedumangad Supplyco outlet in Thiruvananthapuram district did not start function until ten o’clock in the morning.
During a visit by the Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, GR Anil, to the Supplyco outlet within his constituency, it was observed that nearly 20 individuals had been waiting for hours in hopes of making purchases.
A meeting was convened involving various departments in connection with the forthcoming Onam festivities in Nedumangad. The minister participated in this meeting, where the Supplyco outlet was situated beneath the meeting hall. Upon reaching the location, the minister noticed a group of people awaiting the opening of the Supplyco outlet by its staff.
However, even after the 10’ O clock, the Supplyco outlet remained closed. In response, the minister took action by contacting the relevant individuals over the phone, subsequently facilitating the opening of the Supplyco outlet.
Subsequently, locals complained that the Supplyco employees are never punctual, resulting in prolonged waiting times for the people.
