NEW DELHI: An anti-national gathering named V-20, arranged by the CPI(M) and featuring participation from communist insurgents, including Maoists, was intercepted by the Delhi Police at H.K.S. Surjeet Bhawan, CPI(M)’s all-India headquarters.
The CPI(M) allegedly arranged an anti-national assembly involving communist militants, including Maoists, with the recent inauguration of the group by Medha Patkar. There are reports suggesting that V-20 is intended to instigate disruptions during the forthcoming G-20 summit, which the country is hosting on the 9th and 10th of the following month.
The G-20 summit holds significant national importance, and the Delhi Police is being lauded for ensuring the secure and peaceful execution of this event. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh was also observed taking part in the aforementioned gathering.
The presence of CPM national leaders has been reported at the headquarters. The police have indicated that the group includes NGOs that have been blacklisted by the central government.
