Kalady: A report said that a resident of Kalady, Johnson, got attacked after an argument with CPI(M) branch secretary, Devasiya, got out of hand. The argument, according to the report, was about the majority mark in the recently concluded by-poll election at Puthuppally.
The report said that the police took Devasiya into custody after Johnson named him as the attacker. Johnson is admitted to a private hospital in Angamaly with injuries on his head.
Johnson, who is a truck driver was embroiled in an argument, for the past few days, about the majority in Puthuppally by-election. The attack seems to have been a follow up to this argument. According to Johnson, he was attacked by a three-member gang on a bike. The police have registered a case and began investigation.
