The Malaysia Hindu Sangam has voiced its strong opposition to Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin for his offensive remarks against Sanatana Dharma, the ancient Hindu way of life. In a letter addressed to the Malaysian councillor, the organisation has demanded that the Indian government should initiate legal action against Udhayanidhi and ensure that appropriate measures are taken.

The Malaysian Hindu Sangam has expressed its vehement protest against Udhayanidhi’s derogatory comments, which likened Sanatana Dharma to a concealed ailment in need of eradication. Such comparisons and calls for “genocide” have been met with resolute opposition by the Malaysian Hindu community. Additionally, the organisation has accused Udhayanidhi’s statements of undermining religious harmony within the country.

Udhayanidhi Stalin’s controversial remarks were delivered at an event held in Chennai recently, where he called for the abolition of Sanatana Dharma. He went so far as to equate Hinduism with a disease, suggesting that it should be eliminated, and urged everyone to join in this endeavor. These remarks were made during the ‘Sanatana Abolition Conference’, organised by a pro-DMK organisation.
