NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi followed former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in expressing support for the central government.
During his European tour, Rahul Gandhi stated that he aligns with India’s stance on the Russia-Ukraine conflict. He emphasized that the opposition does not deviate from the position put forth by the central government. Rahul was responding to media regarding the increase in crude oil sales to India amidst Western countries imposing an embargo against Russia.
Previously, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh also praised the Central government for its foreign policy approach in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. In a situation where two countries are in conflict, there is significant pressure on nations to choose sides, he added.
Manmohan Singh lauded the central government’s decision to prioritize India’s sovereignty and economic interests while navigating the challenging diplomatic landscape of the Russia-Ukraine conflict. He stated that the government had taken the right course of action.
